SC allows Sahara to start the process of sale of three overseas hotels

NEW DELHI: Supreme Court on Thursday allowed Sahara group to start the process for sale of its shares in three hotels, one in London and two in New York.

The group will write to Bank of China, which had advanced loan for purchase of the hotels, for consent and place it on record of SC in a week the outcome of such communication.

The top court also allowed the Sahara group to sell 9 properties and mortgage Aambay valley to raise Rs 5,000 crore in cash and Rs 5,000 crore in bank guarantee required for release of Subrata Roy on interim bail.

Roy is in jail since March 4.
