NEW DELHI: Soon after taking charge of the urban development and housing ministry, Venkaiah Naidu said that his priority will be to ensure housing for all by 2020 and to reduce interest rate for home loans.
He said that during Atal Bihari Vajpayee regime, interest rate was brought down from 11% to 7%-7.5%. Now it has gone beyond 10%. Naidu said that he will take up this issue with the finance minister Arun Jaitley.
"Housing is a priority area and it's my passion," he said.
