Seven killed in Gujarat road accident, 11 injured

INDORE: Seven persons, including four kids and two women, besides the jeep driver, all from Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh were killed when the jeep they were travelling in was hit by a container in Anand district of Gujarat.

The accident which happened at around 2 am on Saturday near Israr village in Suchitra area of Anand district, also resulted in critical injuries to 11 others, all hailing from Jobat area of MP's Alirajpur district.

The deceased kids were aged between 5 and 10 years, while the woman were aged 25 and 30.

All 18 were going by a jeep in search of job in Anand (Gujarat), sources at Anand's Suchitra police station told TOI on Saturday morning.

All injured have been hospitalised in Anand.

A large chunk of population from Madhya Pradesh's Jhabua, Alirajpur and Ratlam district earn living by working as labourers in bordering Gujarat.
