Sahu was responsible for holding a number of successful Vibrant Gujarat summits since 2005. He was also known as the key 'points man' in industry circles.
Sahu had brokered talks with industry giants in the petrochemical, pharma and automobile sectors. He also played a pivotal role in giving shape to several industry-level policies.
Senior government officials Haribhai Patel, Ranjit Banerjee, SA Golakia and GJ Champaneri will also retire on Friday.
