MBA student among 2 struck dead by lightning in Tamil Nadu

VIRUDHUNAGAR: An MBA student was among two persons struck dead by lightning while another who was injured at Srivilliputtur in the district in Tamil Nadu during heavy rains, police said on Monday.

The first year MBA student and five others were standing near a pumpset here late last night when lightning stuck, killing him on the spot. The others escaped unhurt.

The injured person has been hospitalised.

In a second incident a man was struck dead by lightning when he was sitting outside his house at Venkadhapuram in Srivilliputtur, police said.
