One killed, 2 serious after ammonia gas leak at fish factory in Mangalore

MANGALORE: One person was killed and two others were reported to be in a serious condition after the victims inhaled ammonia gas at a fish meal factory at Konaje on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Riyaz (20). The injured, who have been hospitalised are Sanket and Haneef, both around 20 years of age.

Police said the victims had inhaled leaked ammonia gas at the fish meal factory. The incident happened at around 9 pm. The condition of the two others is said to be serious.
