Enthusiasm and curiosity over results among HP residents

HAMIRPUR: As counting of votes for 68 assembly seats in Himachal Pradesh started stated on early Thursday morning, enthusiasm and curiosity were at peak all across the state.

Residents of various towns like Mehatpur, Una, Amb, Chintpurni, Hamirpur, Sundernagar and Mandi were seen hooked with TV and radio sets to catch immediate results from various parts of the state.

Even the roadside eateries (dhabas) were full of people watching various news channels and discussing prospects of different political parties.

Owner of Dashmesh dhaba in Amb, Somesh Thakur has installed special LCD screen to facilitate people to catch live action.

'My LCD is on since 7 am at high volume. Not only local people but also tourists are stopping their cars to check the latest results,' said Thakur.

Results of all assembly seats are expected to be officially declared by 12 noon.

Besides, government employees and school teachers were also seen discussing the probable results while basking under the sun.
