Income tax raids on business group in Jaipur, assets worth Rs 1.23 crore seized

JAIPUR: The Income Tax department has seized assets worth Rs 1.23 crore, including Rs 51 lakh in cash, belonging to a business group here.

A large number of documents showing unaccounted transactions have also been seized and a total undisclosed income of about Rs 60 crore has been detected so far in a search and seizure operation launched on October 30.

During the operation, 30 premises of the group dealing in jewellery, commodities, share and real estate were covered, official sources said on Friday.

The search operations at most of the premises have been concluded, they said, adding, the seized documents and other evidences were being analysed and investigated further.
