Raid in Bihar jail; over 20 mobiles, contraband seized

MUNGER: Over 20 mobile phones and contraband ganja and charas were seized during raid at Munger jail in Bihar in the early hours on Friday.

District magistrate Kuldip Narayan said he himself led raid in the wards of prisoners and recovered over 20 mobile phones and contraband charas and ganja illegally smuggled inside by inmates.

Around Rs 12,000 cash was also seized during the operation, the DM said. Packets of ganja and charas of about 50 grams were found during the raid.
